About Las Vegas

In 2022, Las Vegas will continue to have one of the nation’s most popular real estate markets. This is all due to a booming visitor economy that has fueled 14 consecutive month records of $1+ billion in gaming revenues. Four new sports venues have no doubt also bolstered the real estate market.

Las Vegas Market

People often ask me why I live in Las Vegas. The answer always produces a puzzled look, “Las Vegas is a nice, quiet city!” To outsiders, used to The Strip’s neon cacophony, that may come as a surprise, but most residents agree that this is a pleasant and easy-to-navigate city. There is a big difference between The Strip and its surroundings, which offer a prime living environment. Not that there’s anything wrong with living at City Center on The Strip. 😊

What Las Vegas Is Known For

Clubbing, gaming or VR

In normal times, the Las Vegas Strip is one of the top tourist attractions in the world with more than 40 million annual visitors. Its 150,000+ hotel rooms, popular Cirque du Soleil productions, gambling and clubs, have made Las Vegas famous for entertainment.

Top chefs, any cuisine

When such world-famous chefs as New York’s Jean Georges Vongerichten and Boston’s Todd English, opened restaurants in Las Vegas, it turned Sin City into a major foodie destination. Today, Las Vegas has more Michelin three-star restaurants than Los Angeles

Luxury or discount malls

A 1998 LVCA survey discovered that, for the first time ever, Las Vegas was perceived by more visitors as an “entertainment” (50%) than a “gaming” destination (48%). Tops on visitor lists were “shopping,” mentioned by 67% of respondents, and fine dining, named by 40%.

Las Vegas Access

Las Vegas is the perfect city for those who desire maximum flexibility.

Las Vegas’ McCarran airport is about 30 minutes away from most city neighborhoods. Once there, you’ll find a busy hub dominated by Southwest, which had a 34% share of passenger traffic in May 2021. Southwest is an efficient. low-cost carrier that can take you just about anywhere in the U.S., Mexico and the Caribbean.

Getting in and out of Las Vegas is usually a breeze, except Sunday evenings, particularly holiday weekends, when Los Angelenos begin their trek home. On a good day, interstate 15 can take you to Orange County in just four hours. If you head in the other direction, you can be in Bryce Canyon National Park in about the same time.

Local Traffic

If you live in Los Angeles or the San Francisco Bay Area, you know what a royal pain in the you-know-what it is to go places. While Las Vegas does have its traffic snarls, in general, it’s far easier and faster to get around. It helps that Las Vegas has some of the widest boulevards and streets this side of Dubai. And unlike Dubai, our Princesses roam free.

Innovation District

The Las Vegas City Council has established an Innovation District in the city’s urban core to promote smart-city technology infrastructure investment. The Innovation District is destined to become the home of autonomous, mobility and smart-city technology startups.
